The John Knox Foundation offers the congregation and its extended families an opportunity to provide special gifts and unique stewardship beyond the annual budget for the work of Christ's church.

The foundation actively encourages gifts to the church to celebrate a birth or a birthday, a marriage or an anniversary, to honor a life or remember a family member or friend. These gifts are an extra dimension of stewardship, enabling special mission and ministry programs, college scholarships, seminars,  building maintenance, and an endless variety of other projects and purposes.

A gift may be an endowment, a charitable remainder trust, a bequest, a memorial or other appropriate gift of any amount given in celebration or gratitude. The John Knox Foundation will assist in designing and constructing a specific gift plan if needed.

At this time, the John Knox Foundation has three types of funds:

Current Funds – funds allowing both the income and principle to be spent.

Endowed Funds – funds allowing only the income to be spent while the principle is maintained.

The Celebration Fund - a new fund which will incorporate gifts that are both designated for specific purposes and those without a designation so Session may determine the greatest need. Funds will accrue and be invested until the amount needed for a project or program is achieved. All uses of these funds shall be approved by the Session.
